Origin:
The wool sea sponge is harvested in the Caribbean Sea – the Bahamas, the gulf of Mexico and off the southeastern coast of Florida. It is well known for its soft texture and has similar qualities to the honeycomb sea sponge. Note: At Jordan Benedict, we only sell sea sponges from 100% sustainable sources.

Directions for first use:
Wash your natural wool sea sponge thoroughly before first use. Add a small quantity of bath foam and massage your body with circular moves. After use remember to rinse the sponge thoroughly and gently squeeze the water out and dry the sponge. Note: Sea sponges are not meant for strength testing, hence should not attempt to pull it apart.

Periodic care:
1) Rinse the sponge under cold running water.
2) Soak the sponge into a bucket with water and vinegar or baking soda solution to a 10:1 analogy, and leave to soak for30 minutes.
3) Remove it from the bowl and squeeze it to remove excess liquid.
4) Set out to dry on a clean surface, such as the bathtub, or hang out to dry using the hanging cord.
5) Use again. The sponge should be as good as new.

Quick tip:
The product comes with a hanging cord which will be particularly useful for hanging and drying your wool sea sponge. Drying your sponge is essential in order to prolong its life and maintain hygiene.
