Origin:
The honeycomb sea sponge is harvested in eastern Mediterranean – the Aegean Sea and the north coast of Africa. It is generally recognized as the highest quality and the most durable of sea sponges. Note: At Jordan benedict, we only sell sea sponges from 100% sustainable sources.
*Due to the natural origin of the sea sponge, sizes and shapes are approximate. Not all sponges are perfectly round-shaped, and some will have a cut-flat side.

Directions for first use:
Wash your Honeycomb sea sponge thoroughly before first use. Add a small quantity of bath foam and massage your body with circular moves. After use remember to rinse the sponge thoroughly and gently squeeze the water out and dry the sponge. Sea sponges are not meant for strength testing, hence you should not attempt to pull it apart.
Periodic care:
1) Rinse the sponge under cold running water.
2) Soak the sponge into a bucket with water and vinegar or baking soda solution to a 10:1 analogy, and leave to soak for 30 minutes.
3) Remove it from the bowl and squeeze it to remove excess liquid.
4) Set out to dry on a clean surface, such as the bathtub, or hang out to dry using the hanging cord.
5) Use again. The sponge should be as good as new.

Excellent product & prompt delivery
The best sponge I've ever had. I use it with Avene soap. After washing, just soak the sponge in the shower three or four times to remove the soap.
Took a day or two to get used to it after using a foam sponge but the natural sponge is not as rough on your skin. The only slight negative point is that I seem to use more shower gel each time to get a good lather going.

This sponge is excellent and very soft for showering and bathing. The size is good although next time I would buy a smaller size.
